Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability

Caring is at the core of Tara's ethos, knowing where her materials come from and be traced back to matters a great deal, it is our duty to think carefully about choices for the future of the planet, for her customers wishes and for her children, rest assured you can have peace of mind.

By using small scale operations and artisanal miners in turn respects the environment, supports the communities within them and their well-being. Please take a look at Joe Henley in the link below, who regularly gives back to mining communities.

100 % Recycled gold and silver

As consummers are becoming increasingly aware of what they are buying you can be reassured Tara's jewellery is committed to using only recycled gold and silver, not only is this more affordable and cost-effective the process of recycling has less impact on the environment making it a ethical and sustainable choice.

Recycled stones

It is a rarity for a jeweller to not only make everything from scratch but to also cut their own gems, Tara not only uses raw material for creating her gems but takes old gemstones found as antiques or poor commercial stones to give them a new lease of life, we all have a piece of unloved jewellery kicking around that needs some TLC, Tara can re-cut or polish your gemstones restoring them to their former glory so once again they can be worn. You can see the before and after in the right image of a London Topaz, see video below for its transformation.
